Miranda Kerr, the world famous Australian supermodel, who’s the face and body of many Victoria’s Secret shows. Even after taking a break for the birth of her baby boy Flynn, she’s back on the catwalk.
It will come as no surprise that for someone like Miranda, who makes their living modelling lingerie, would be so focused and enthusiastic about eating a healthy foods.
Miranda prefers mostly a vegetarian diet, with lots of fresh, organic produce, and super foods. Miranda also makes sure that the food she eats has a low-glycemic index, which keeps her blood sugar levels stable throughout the day.
While pregnant with her first child, Miranda gained weight, putting on about 30 – 40lbs.
Wanting to get back into shape and lose that pregnancy weight after Flynn was borne, Miranda starts each morning with a super food packed breakfast, containing lots of vitamins, and minerals. Beginning with a selection of freshly juiced organic vegetables including organic cucumber, spinach, kale and beets, mixed with freshly squeezed lemon.
She follows this with a super food smoothie made with protein powder, maca powder, chia seeds, bee pollen, goji berries, raw cacao nibs, noni juice and coconut water.
An organic super food breakfast like this, is a strong blend of minerals, vitamins, fibre, proteins, omega-3 oils and antioxidants. It’s such a great way to your skin colour and a healthy glow. It’s also going to stock up with energy to keep you going all day long, no matter what your doing from changing nappies walking down the catwalk!
Come lunch time, and Miranda may find herself with tossing olives with a spinach salad and a little sweet potato, perhaps mixed with avocado and feta. A typical dinner includes lentil soup and chicken.
As well as maintaining a fantastic diet, Miranda also works out every day, having practiced yoga for more than 10 years and carried on with prenatal yoga while she was pregnant. Since she gave birth, she’s added Pilates to her fitness routine. Five times each week she uses resistance bands and leg weights to work out, as well as jogging to keep herself toned.
Miranda shows that with a good routine, and a good diet she’s able to enjoy the best of both worlds, a mum and supermodel, both with a stunning figure.
